Xon's Entry 16

We finally met up with the rest of our companions early the next day. I must confess I was overjoyed to see Molistead unhurt.

I was slightly less overjoyed when I asked him to recount his adventures after we got seperated. After him saying "Did I mention the fish people?" five times in a row I gave up.

Took most of a week before I finally got the whole story out of them.

The other interesting thing was a new companion of theirs, Boudica.

I never really got to know her too well. She kept to herself and her animal companions. A snake and a boar. After the boar nearly bit me once I tended to leave them alone.

We traveled for most of a day to a 'portal' -

It took me a solid hour just to get THAT amount of information from them. All I knew was that we were travelling towards a portal. Why, I had no idea.

Sometime before we reached the portal, we were ambushed by a bunch of halflings. Halflings that were quite skilled in the ways of ambush.

Most beings that skilled are mostly interested in relieving a party of their valuables and retiring. This group, however, was more interested in our lives. Most specifically, Molistead's.

Falahara quite literally saved Molistead's life several times during that battle. She had recently learned a new ability that allowed her to take a blow meant for someone else. Quite honestly I think it's the only thing that kept him alive.

We meant to capture one of them and interrogate him, but unfortunately we killed them all first. However, Annu recently learned a spell that allowed her to communicate with the recently deceased.

Ick.

So she did.

The only answer she got out of the still-cooling corpse was the name of their master.

Namon’Shoon. That's the name of the demon that sent the masked gentleman to kill Molistead. He still was to meet us in Myth Drannor but apparently the demon got tired of waiting and sent another bunch of assassins to kill him.

Humph.

Early the next morning, we finally found the portal and walked through it.

We wound up in a city.

At last! A city! Real food! Real beds!

*sigh*

And Raymond. Ah, Raymond.

He was a dwarven wizard of no small skill. He wound up making quite a lot of items for us.

He also happened to be a sage. I remember asking him about the amulets. He knew nothing.

So what happened in the city? Let me refill my glass and I'll tell you.
